Misc

Iwayakumonoza is a shrine that attracted followers during the rise of the Kumano faith, a cult of Shinto with an extremely long history. It was renovated numerous times by the Sagara clan, and features a stone torii gate – a style common in Japanese shrines but rare in the Hitoyoshi Kuma region.
