 A place so famous it is even sung about in Kuma no Rokuchoshi, a folk song from the Hitoyoshi Kuma region about what makes Kuma great. The shrine was first constructed by the Hirakawa clan, who ruled this area before the Sagara clan, and was restored by Sagara Yoshishige.
