47.Statue of Shakyamuni Buddha at Arata Kannon-do

This wooden seated image of Shakyamuni Buddha sits in Arata Kannon-do, which is thought to have been related to the Hirakawa clan, a powerful clan in the area. A calligraphy in the womb indicates that it is a Buddhist statue from the late Heian period (7 years after Hoen). On the same site is the Daio Shrine, which was built by the Sagara clan to comfort the spirit of Hirakawa Yoshitaka, who was destroyed in battle. The culture that such Mr. Sagara originally existed in a place was maintained, and the culture was raised by enterprising a new culture. It is one of the Japanese Heritage-listed cultural assets.
